Welcome to
Dr Dickerson and Dr Gudbransen take you to discover the fascinating field of psychology from past to present, as you explore how the human mind affects our behaviour and perception.
Explore
The psychology of risk is the study and understanding of the mental processes underlying our responses to risky situations, the recognition of a risk's impact, and the development of frameworks that can help individuals make sound judgments in the face of risk.
Perception Is not reality, or is it? Perception in psychology can be defined as the sensory experience of the world, which includes how an individual recognizes and interpretes sensory information. This also includes how one responds to those stimuli. Perception includes these senses: vision, touch, sound, smell, taste, and proprioception.
This course would be valuable for students who are curious about human behaviour and mental processes. Of course a psychology degree won’t give you an absolute understanding of every interaction you have with people. We are quite a complex species after all. However, the insights you gain about peoples’ motivations, perceptions and behaviour will perhaps give you a different perspective on why people react in the ways they do and help you to understand people a little better.
